Earthquake of 4.3 magnitude hits Arequipa

The earthquake shook up the region early this morning.

An earthquake of 4.3 magnitude on the Richter scale struck the region of Arequipa early this morning, according to the Geophysical Institute of Peru (IGP).

The quake was registered at 1:33 a.m. and the epicenter was located 35 kilometers northeast of the Caraveli province.

The epicenter was recorded at a depth of 128 kilometers.

Illegal loggers removed from the Isconahua Reserve

The IGP has recorded 10 earthquakes in Arequipa so far this year.

The authorities have not reported personal or material damages due to the earthquake.
